Tasmania.

The island off the coast of mainland Australia is a special little place.
I have lived in Tasmania since I was 13 years old. At first, the move from the Sunshine Coast in sunny Queensland was a grand adventure. Hobart was so different, the architecture much older and more detailed than I had previously experienced, the mountains so wild, the beach so cold and the highways so empty and void of any traffic.
My family moved up north to the North-West Coast, and I have remained firmly settled for the past 15 years in various towns on the coast.
I have developed a passion for this island state- the food, the scenery, the people. I have discovered that summer is an attitude and that it is possible to continue with water sports in the Bass Strait.
I am hoping to share the hidden and not-so-hidden delights of the Apple Isle- I hope you enjoy!
